The Firmness of Bilal Under Torture

Reference: Various authentic sources

Bilal ibn Rabah was an Abyssinian slave who accepted Islam in Makkah. His master Umayyah ibn Khalaf would drag him out in the scorching midday heat, place a massive boulder on his chest, and demand he renounce Islam. Bilal would only say: "Ahad, Ahad" (One, One) - affirming the Oneness of Allah. Al-Matin granted him firmness that no torture could break. Eventually, Abu Bakr purchased and freed him. Bilal became the first muezzin of Islam, his voice that once whispered under torture now calling millions to prayer.

Lesson

Al-Matin grants unshakeable firmness to those who hold onto faith. No pressure, pain, or persecution can break those whom He makes firm.
