Halal (Permissible)
- Meat slaughtered in Allah's name (Zabiha)
- Fish and seafood
- Fruits, vegetables, grains
- Milk and dairy products
- Eggs
Haram (Prohibited)
- Pork and pork products
- Alcohol and intoxicants
- Blood
- Carrion (dead animals not slaughtered)
- Animals killed by strangling, beating, etc.
The default ruling for food is halal unless specifically prohibited. When in doubt about meat, look for halal certification.

General Principles
Default is Permissibility
Everything is halal unless proven haram by clear evidence.
Harm is Prohibited
Anything harmful to oneself or others is forbidden.
Haram Means are Haram
Even if the end is good, the means must also be halal.
Intentions Matter
Actions are judged by intentions, but haram remains haram.
Avoid Doubtful Matters
Leave what makes you doubt for what doesn't.
Necessity Permits Prohibited
In life-threatening situations, haram may become temporarily permissible.
