Do I need to change my name?
No, changing your name is not required in Islam. Many companions kept their original names. You may choose an Islamic name if you wish, but it's optional.

What about my past sins?
When you accept Islam, ALL your previous sins are completely forgiven. You start with a clean slate. The Prophet ﷺ said Islam wipes away what came before it.

Must I learn Arabic?
While Arabic is the language of the Quran and prayers, you can start with transliteration. Learn gradually. Many Muslims worldwide pray in Arabic without being fluent.

How do I tell my family?
Take your time. Show Islam through your improved character. Be patient and kind. Some families accept quickly, others need time. Make dua for them.

Is circumcision required?
For men, it is a recommended Sunnah practice but not a condition for Islam. It can be done at any age and there's no rush.
