Miracle
Iron softened, mountains sang with him
The Story
Dawud (peace be upon him) was both a prophet and a king of Bani Israel. He is given the Zabur (Psalms), one of the four major books revealed by Allah.
As a young man, Dawud was part of the army facing the giant warrior Jalut (Goliath). While the trained soldiers were afraid, young Dawud stepped forward with his sling and defeated Jalut with Allah's help.
After this, Dawud rose to become king. He was known for his beautiful voice - the mountains and birds would glorify Allah along with him. He would fast every other day and pray a third of the night.
Allah softened iron for him, allowing him to make armor without fire. He was also given wisdom and decisive speech in judgment.
His son Sulayman inherited his kingdom and prophethood, continuing the blessed lineage.
