Miracle

Born to elderly parents

The Story

Ishaq (peace be upon him) was the second son of Ibrahim, born to his wife Sarah in their old age. Angels came to Ibrahim and gave him the good news of a son, despite Sarah being elderly and barren.

Sarah laughed in amazement at the news, but Allah reminded them that nothing is impossible for Him. Ishaq was born as promised, a miracle child.

Ishaq grew to be a righteous prophet. He married and had twin sons: Ya'qub (Israel) and Esau. Through Ya'qub came the lineage of the Children of Israel and most of the prophets mentioned in the Quran.

The Quran mentions Ishaq with honor, often alongside his father Ibrahim and son Ya'qub, praising their righteousness and devotion to Allah.
