Miracle
Control over jinn, wind, and animals
The Story
Sulayman (peace be upon him) inherited both prophethood and kingdom from his father Dawud. He asked Allah for a kingdom that would not be given to anyone after him, and Allah granted this.
Sulayman was given unprecedented powers: he could understand the speech of birds and animals, command the jinn and wind, and was given vast knowledge. Armies of jinn, humans, and birds served under him.
He built magnificent structures including his famous temple. The Queen of Sheba (Bilqis) came to test his wisdom and was amazed by what she saw. She accepted Islam after witnessing his kingdom and wisdom.
Despite his vast kingdom, Sulayman remained humble and grateful to Allah. When death came to him, he was standing in prayer, leaning on his staff. The jinn continued working, not realizing he had passed until a termite ate through his staff and his body fell.
This showed that the jinn do not know the unseen.
