Exemplifying Story
seerahThe Opening of Makkah
Reference: Surah Al-Fath 48:1-3
For years, the Muslims were barred from Makkah and the Ka'bah. After the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah, which seemed like a setback, Al-Fattah opened the greatest victory. The Quraysh violated the treaty, and the Prophet ﷺ marched with 10,000 companions. Makkah, the stronghold of opposition, was opened without bloodshed. The idols were destroyed, and the Ka'bah was purified. The city that expelled the Muslims now welcomed them as victors.
Al-Fattah's openings come when we least expect them. Apparent setbacks often precede the greatest victories.
