seerahThe Hidden Motives in the Cave
Reference: Sahih al-Bukhari
During the Hijrah, the Prophet ﷺ and Abu Bakr hid in the Cave of Thawr. The Quraysh sent trackers who came right to the mouth of the cave. Abu Bakr whispered: "If any one of them looks down at his feet, he will see us." The Prophet ﷺ replied calmly: "What do you think of two, the third of whom is Allah?" Al-Khabir knew the hearts of the trackers and turned their attention away. He knew Abu Bakr's fear and the Prophet's trust. He knew the future: Islam would prevail. His awareness of all hidden matters protected His Messenger.
Al-Khabir knows not just actions but intentions. He is aware of hidden dangers before they manifest and protects those who trust Him.
