Abu Lahab's Humiliation

Reference: Surah Al-Masad 111:1-5

Abu Lahab was one of the Prophet's uncles and among his fiercest enemies. He was wealthy, influential, and proud. When the Prophet ﷺ first preached Islam publicly, Abu Lahab openly declared: "May you perish!" Allah revealed an entire surah condemning him and his wife by name - unprecedented in the Quran. He died in disgrace after Badr, and even his own people refused to bury him properly. Al-Khafid abased the one who arrogantly opposed His Messenger.

Lesson

Those who exalt themselves against Allah and His Messenger will be abased. True honor comes only from humility before the Most High.
